Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 April 2026 · Version 1.0 (draft, pending Nigerian solicitor review)

1. Who we are

The Pattern House is a fashion production business operated by Ché Orika Group, based at FHA Estate Nugbe, Abuja, Nigeria. This website (thepatternhouse.co) is our B2B marketing site for fashion brand clients. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean The Pattern House / Ché Orika Group. "You" means anyone visiting the site or submitting information to us.

2. What this policy covers

This policy explains what information we collect when you visit thepatternhouse.co, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over your information. We wrote it in plain English because you shouldn't need a lawyer to understand how your data is handled.

3. What we collect

When you fill in our contact form, we collect: your name, your email address, your brand or project name, phone number, country and region, the message you send us, an approximate production quantity, and your IP address and submission timestamp (captured automatically for security and spam prevention). The form sends your inquiry directly to our HubSpot CRM as a Contact record.

When you just browse the site, we collect: anonymous session data through Microsoft Clarity — mouse movements, clicks, scrolls, and pages viewed. This is configured in anonymized mode, which means personal identifiers (like text you type into forms) are masked and not recorded. We also keep standard server logs (IP, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance.

We do not collect payment information on this site. We do not sell products directly through this website.

4. Why we collect it

5. The tools we use (data processors)

We are transparent about the third-party tools that process your data on our behalf. Your data may be transferred outside Nigeria to the data centres these providers operate. We've chosen each of them because they offer strong security and recognised privacy standards.

We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not share it with any other third parties except where required by law.

6. How long we keep it

7. Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) 2019 and the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 — and in line with GDPR principles if you're visiting from the EU — you have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it if it's wrong, delete it, object to how we use it, port it to another service, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@thepatternhouse.co. We'll respond within 30 days.

8. Data Protection Officer

Under NDPR, businesses processing the personal data of more than 1,000 individuals per year must appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO). The Pattern House does not expect to reach this threshold in its first year. A formal DPO will be appointed when we approach that threshold. In the meantime, the founder, Cherechi Orika, is the point of contact for all privacy matters at privacy@thepatternhouse.co.

9. Security

We rely on the security infrastructure of Zoho, HubSpot, and Microsoft — all of which meet recognised international standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2). Access to our CRM and email is protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication.

10. Children

This site is for B2B fashion industry professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated to anyone on our marketing list.
